Me as a personal brand
Personal branding
Personal branding is of great importance and can be done by everyone. Personal branding is the secret ingredient which makes you stand out. Creating your personal brand is the proactive way of controlling your career development and how you are perceived in the market place. For a long time now, I have been wanting to create my personal brand, but it did not know where to start, neither how to tackle the problem.
How it all started

Fortunately, one playground session organized by three of my classmates provided me with a great start and showed me how to tackle this problem. During the workshop which lasted two hours we did more exercises in order to take a better look at ourselves from different perspectives and to identify our strengths and weaknesses. Due to these exercises, I got to understand myself on a deeper level.
I realised that if I continued asking myself questions, I would be able to identify my key characteristics and consequently create my own brand.
7 steps of creating your personal brand
After 2 hours of research on the Internet I found a way to get to know myself on a deeper level. It took me around 4 hours to answer these questions truthfully and to really look into my values, beliefs and priorities.
Step 1: What do you have the most fun doing? – write down 5 things that you like to do
1. I have the most fun doing hanging out with my close friends and family, because there is nothing that I value more than the people I love.
2. I am adventurous person and therefore activities which give me a feeling of adrenaline fulfil my heart and make me feel alive.
3. I like meeting new people and interacting with them. Getting to know different cultures helps me develop and is of great interest to me.
4. I love travelling.
5. Attending festivals and different cultural events is also one of my favourite things to do.
Step 2: What do you dream about? -write down 5 things that you dream about
1. I dream about finding a job that I love
2. I dream about travelling the world
3. I dream about achieving something big which can have a positive impact on the world
4. I dream about making my parents proud
5. I dream about being physically and mentally healthy
Step 3: What do you do differently from others?
I consider everyone to have a unique personality and therefore a unique way of working and interacting with people. I achieve the perfect balance between logic and creativity, positivity and enthusiasm and seriousness and adventure. Consequently, I like doing everything with a twist. I like doing things in a different way. I like to create unique things which stand out from the crowd. I implement my values, my beliefs and my characteristics in my work and when I dedicate myself to something I am fully involved. When I am passionate about something and when I believe in what I do, nothing or no one can get in my way. I dedicate as much time and energy as it takes to rise to the highest standards. Moreover, I look at a problem from multiple perspectives while trying to solve it in an appreciate way.
Step 4: Be brutally honest with yourself! – take a personality test
Before taking the test, I took the liberty to write down the strengths and flaws of my personality, because I wanted to compare them with the results of the test.
Strengths: Creative, Ambitious, Adventurous, Passionate, Brave
Weaknesses: Impatient, Stubborn, Short Attention Span, Indecisive, Trust
Taking the 16-personality test was quite surprising. I was shocked with the accuracy of the results.
The results of the test are the following:
Campaigner personality type

Campaigners can change the world with just an idea. They should not lose that spark of madness which makes them stand out.
Strengths and weaknesses

Strengths: Curios, observant, enthusiastic, excellent people skills, friendly and kind
Weaknesses: Short attention span, stubbornness, getting stressed easily, impatience, highly emotional
Conclusion

Step 5: What do others think of you?
Most of the people I asked say that I am a very creative, smart and enthusiastic person, who enjoys meeting new people and likes to live her life at the fullest. Most of them say that my weaknesses are impatience and stubbornness.
Step 6: What is your weakness?
I think my biggest weakness is not being able to trust myself at the fullest. I need to believe more in myself, in the work I do, and, on the impact, I have on the ones around me. I also need to work on my patience and indecisiveness. Because I am a perfectionist, I am never satisfied with myself because I always think that I can do better, I can achieve more. Therefore, I need to work on the limits I set myself and give myself a break from time to time because it is impossible to overcome all the limits while doing 10 different things at the same time.
Step 7: Think about your future
In the future I would like to work either for cultural events which help the society in a positive way or to organize business event for important clients. I would like to use the events as a tool to help people grow, develop and make new friends.
My personal brand
Taking all this information into consideration, I let my creativity go loose and my freedom fly and managed to create the logo for my own personal brand. This process took me around 8 hours, considering that firstly I created it on paper, then I had to learn some basic photoshop in order to be able to reproduce it digitally as well.

The first thing that I see when I look at the logo is the letter N shaped in a more different brand. This shows that I am different in my own way I chose my logo to represent my first initial because everything I do in my personal and professional life is according to my values, beliefs, background and experiences. The twist highlights that I like my work to be a bit twisted, different from all the others. If you look at the logo from the other side, you can still see the letter N, which shows that I look at problems from more perspectives.
I manage to achieve freedom both in my personal and professional life. The colour yellow in business stand for an uplifting and happy mentality, which is exactly what I like to implement in the workspace. The letter N is not fully surrounded. The spaces represent that I like to overcome my own limits, while having a realistic mentality.
Considering that I have good people and communication skills and I enjoy interacting with them, I would like to have a job in the future which entails interaction with people. I would like my work to contribute to their happiness and well-being. In the future I would like to have a management position as I think I am good at guiding, motivating and coordinating people. I tend to have a positive influence on the ones around me and to leave a part of myself everywhere I go. I am still not sure what I want exactly from my future, but in my internship, I would like to focus either on business events or on cultural events, as I think I would be fit for a job.
